We did it for years. Best solution is to bring a nanny with you. Usually all we paid was their way and they were more than happy to be there.

Not a great idea from a relationship management point of view.

Beaches offers babysitting services, their Turks and Caicos resort is their best property. They have several places to pick. However, I would bring someone to babysit. The diving is regulated, keeping dives to roughly 30 minutes. You need to arrive early at their dive op to reserve your spot on the boat the next day. Since this resort is a all-inclusive, the food is good and they offer many activities, including diving. I suspect you pay for the baby sitting services.

Good Luck. Not easy planning a dive trip with an infant in tow. I suspect you will be diving alone, getting a lot of grief.

If you do not mind being a bit away from it all. I am thinking about Salt Cay in Turks & Caicos. The diving is 5-10 minutes a way from the dock. Often we just came back in during our SI. There are not many people on the island though so you would definitely want to arrange something ahead of time but I but one of the local ladies or kids would be able to sit for a couple of hours easily.

The only hitch is medical - being close by. And Salt Cay does not have a lot of things to do but relax.

I jut got back from the Occidental Grand in Cozumel where I spent a week with my wife and 16 month old daughter. My wife doesn't dive so she was able to watch the baby while I did my 2 tank dive every morning. There were other couples there with infants who took advantage of the baby sitting service offered by the hotel. They all seemed very pleased with the service and my daughter had other kids to play with.

Another thing I liked about this vacation was that it was all inclusive. Our 16 month old is a picky eater so it was nice having the variety of the buffet which I thought had excellent food for an all inclusive, there was always something for her to eat. The resort was spotless, they serve only bottled water and nobody got sick during the trip. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Our daughter went though beach withdrawl once we got back. She refused to go anywhere without her crocs and her beach hat for about a week.
