My apologies if this is in the wrong forum. I'm going diving with a friend on Sunday, but I'd rather have a few more people. If anyone is interested, we're going diving on Sunday morning at 9, and hope to be in the water at 10. More info on the dive site:

Malibu Road, Malibu, California

If anyone is interested, lemme know.

Be careful where you park on Malibu Rd! I helped out with a rescue class several weeks ago, but still within the last month, and many (at least 4) of the cars from the class were broken in to, all cash stolen from wallets and iPhones taken. They tried to slim-jim the passenger window on my truck and ended up cracking the glass. We were parked at the far west (north) end of Malibu Rd right before it hits PCH again. There's usually a lot of foot traffic there as well, which was why this was so surprising

Not trying to be a negative nancy or anything....but with the recent rain and the fact that Malibu conditions are so hit-or-miss, I'm not entirely sure that diving there on Sunday is going to be your best bet. I've done a number of dives in Malibu with nearly zero vis, and none of them were preceeded by rain....I'm skeptical, but hope you have a good time if you do make it out there.

I've dived that site one time before (a couple years ago). I suspect there's more to it than I saw, but I was new and don't remember a lot of it now.

Last time we dived Malibu Rd (right near where it meets back up with PCH), we had between 1-2' of visibility. It was less than awesome.

I keep hearing great things about that area, but have yet to see them.

Hopefully conditions cooperate, the rain stops soon, and you can have a great dive there!

Vis will be soup though with crossed up swells coming in plus the rain. Bring your compass and work on navigation :- ) You can always have a good time!

Geoff, thanks for the heads up on the break-ins. Good to know as they may be hitting broad beach and other roads as well.
