Its been a busy few months organizing the Dive the Coast event (Dive The Coast :: index), but were making some good progress. We had a kick-off dive in Monterey last month, and an article about it is in the Nov/Dec edition of California Diver magazine. Weve also gotten support from numerous entities such as ONeill Sea Odyssey, Save Our Shores, Oceanic, LeisurePro and countless others. Please help spread the word about this, since any money we raise (by getting people to sponsor every mile we cover or tank we go through) will go toward local ocean conservation organizations.
Meanwhile, we have another DTC dive scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19, starting at 9 a.m. from Breakwater Cove in Monterey, and an after-party at Seven Seas Scuba on Cannery Row. Thatll be it until the start of the new year, but were going to keep the momentum going until the big dive in 2013.
