Diving Technician for Academic Diving Program
The Florida State University Coastal and Marine Laboratory invites applications for the position of Diving Technician in the Academic Diving Program. The successful candidate is expected to provide operational support for all diving-related academic and training courses, and will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diving equipment. The candidate must be a self motivated, physically fit person with strong organizational skills able to work well with others to help build a first-class, dynamic academic diving program.
Minimum requirements:
A bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years experience in diving instruction or a high school diploma and at least six years experience in diving instruction
Certified diving instructor with a nationally recognized agency.
Proficiency with computer operations, including word processing and spreadsheets
Knowledge of diving locker operations, including extensive experience with equipment maintenance and repair
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
Pay = $25,000 TO $31,000 per year (OPS, no state benefits)
