I am new to diving, so new that I am not even "wet behind the ears" yet. I am looking for places to dive in Montana. Is there anyone on here that has dove in MT and could offer good sites to go?

Look up Coldsmoke here on Scubaboard. He is an instructor that lives there and can point you in the right direction.

1 question where did you get certified and do you have a local dive shop? (LDS) if so they should be able to point you in the right direction too.

Montana is a gorgeously decorated dive site pretty much untouched by man. 15 minutes is not enough to enjoy it!

We''ll be out there this weekend if you'd like to come along.

All the best, James

<edit> OK, I am stupid...sorry... cue sheepish look...

Thanks for all the info. I am getting certified through A to Z Scuba in Great Falls MT. Awesome instructors, I just finished my written test and I am still waiting to do my open water piece. I live in Great Falls and plan on going to Holter lake a lot this summer but dont know if it is good for diving. My mother in law lives in Big Fork and we go up there alot too.
