Hey All..
I want to start this thread to discuss some "not too visited" dive sites. One site I dove last year was the "Battle of the Windmill" site
Not sure if any of you have ever dove this site before. I did it last year, once. It is a fairly basic dive, max depth I reached was 21 feet, but you see some amazing weed beds. It is located east of Prescott by 4 minutes or so. It was the location of a battle between some United Empire Loyalists and the US. The fish are hudge, and it is a nice drift..
To do the drift, you go West for a while then drift back to the location that you started. We basically did a square pattern. 100 Meters West (upstream) 30 South (towards US) 100 Meters East (Drift downstream). 30 Meters North (Towards Canada). Like I said not very deep, current is moderate, but was a great dive. Hey and if your lucky you may just find some cannon balls or shot from the battle (if you do it would be nice to turn them into the museum in the windmill)
Any of you have some not too often visited sites that you can share?
