I may have the opportunity to work in St. Croix. I'm looking for dive shop recommendations. Thanks.

Anchor dive center on the Salt river, haven't been there in a few years(unfortunately!!!). I completed my PADI AOW there. I think St Croix diving is underrated, many many dive sites that where still in pretty good condition when I was there last. Anyway , anchor is very safety oriented and profesional but still fun and casual. You should have a good time in and out of the water. Island is quiet and peaceful not as touristy as St Thomas. I wish I could go there to work!!!!! Have fun, good luck!!!!!!

Thanks, if I get the job I'll check them out. I lived on St Thomas in 2004, it is pretty touristy so St Croix will be a nice change. We used to take the ferry to the BVI's and I'm looking forward to doing that again.

I used Dive Experience when I was there a couple weeks ago. They did a great job and I'd highly recommend them.

I was in St. Croix quite a few years ago and used Anchor Dive. I was very happy. Short boat rides and great service.

Would also recommend Dive Experiance as well. They do not load up the boats and their staff are great.

As a follow-up to my recommendation, Sam and Gary are the main dive guys at Dive Experience. Both are warm and personable and they'll take care of/set up all your dive equipment if you need/want someone to do that. Sam took a group of us to the pier for a night dive that was quite an experience. They even did a fish feed dive for us. The diving in St. Croix is somewhat underrated I think, as there were some sites I would rate 5 of 5. I posted a bunch of pics from my trip on my web site. The comments to the pics have what dive sites we were at when I posted them.. take a look: Xtcscuba and XtcAdventures

We used Cane Bay Dive about 2 years ago and liked them.

I would say that it sepends on where you are working and living would determine the shop to use the most. Enjoy the diving, it really is beautiful.

We did boat diving while out there but I would say many spots are easily shore diveable.
