I just don't log dives
Non diving wife and I are doing a quick last minute to Dreams La Romana DR. April 18-25 and I am looking for a reliable shop that doesn't run cattle boats.

I have been looking at treasure divers, casa daniel, and neptunodive.
Has anyone used any of these shops recently? Any other recent recommendations would be helpfull too.

John Chatterton's piratescove dive center is now located in Samana but their website indicates that they still dive the south side. Does anyone know if they still do this on a regular basis.

Thanks.

Hi Ontwreckdiver,

Treasure Divers is located in Boca Chica and Neptuno Divecenter in Juan Dolio, too far away from your destination.
Divecenter Casa Daniel is located in the middle of Bayahibe and can be reached within 5 min. out of your hotel, it is known as the oldest legal operating divecenter in town. Beware of pirates!!!
We are located at Hotel Catalonia Gran Dominicus and offer pick up services and reasonable prices. main
However I hope you have a nice stay and do not hesitate to get out of your hotel to meet real live!!

Nice Dives

Robert

I had a good experience with Scuba Fun a couple of years ago. Very accomodating, fun, and safe. They also, along with most others in town, offer great excursions to the local islands, Catalina, Catalanita, and Saona which would work great for you and the non-diving spouse. And as posted above, please don't be afraid to venture outside of your resort and spend some quality time in Bayahibe. There's some good food, good drinks, and good people to be found in town.

Robert, Matteo
Thanks for the good information.
We always get out and see the local area.

Pirate's Cove operate out of Samana, but I think they do "expeditions" all over DR.
