Dive Shop Recommendation in Cancun

Ive dove with Solo Buceo on about 10 different occasions, I'm actually looking at the pier right now out my hotel window and will be diving with them again for the next week ..Ive found Rodrigo to be absolutely great..he is a very accommodating and experienced diver....my girl and I email him to let him know when we are coming and he rolls out the red carpet for us... its a shame you had a bad experience, but I assure you, its not the norm for them

We have dove a fair bit with Alvaro from AlwaysDiving and it's always an awesome experience. Reefs, wrecks, sharks and cenotes. If we're in Cancun, we're diving with Alvaro.

Was just in Cancun, in April. Dove with Eduardo of : DEEPLIFE DIVERS - DEEPLIFE DIVERS, whom I found on trip advisor. He arranged a trip from Cancun to Cozumel for me. It was a wonderful experience. Eduardo is a busy guy so communicating with him via e-mail is slow at best, but he did exactly as we discussed and I had a fab 2 tank dive in Cozumel. He made all the arrangements to get me to and from Cancun"s Zona Hotela.

I was also going to dive with Manta Divers: Manta Divers! Cancun Diving! Cozumel Diving! Cavern Diving! I wanted to try several operators, run by an American woman, the hotel-Westin Lagunamar gave me her name. Weather conditions became sketchy and she called early to give me some options. I decided I didn't want to get tossed about in a small boat, but this dive operation was great in their communication, and close to my hotel in the Zone.

FYI, I brought my own gear. The gear I saw was recent and reasonably well maintained.

I will be visiting Cancun with another friend, and we would like to do some diving in Cancun, day trip to Cozumel, and also to the caverns.
We will be staying in Cancun. Do you have any recommendations on good dive operations? Both of us will be renting gears so would like to go with a place that takes proper care of their equipments.
