Could someone please refer me to a good dive shop in the Pompano Beach area. Me and my number one will be traveling to there the week of July 12th and we would like to do a nice easy dive to two. have not dived in a year or so and will be traveling with kids and do not want to leave them with child care ALL day. Any help given will be appreciated.

Parrot Island is a pretty good dive op in Pompano that usually runs a few easy trips throughout the week. You can check their schedule on their website for dives that will suit your comfort level. Parrot Island Scuba Adventures - Why Dive With Us?

Isn't there a new dive shop where the old Lighthouse Divers used to be - just over the A1A bridge after the escape from Hillspeedtrapboro Beach?
For casual recreational diving, Force-E on Atlantic will take care of everything that you need.

Yes there is:

sunsentinel:
Pompano Dive Center opened on North Riverside Drive in Pompano Beach in space previously occupied by Lighthouse Dive, which closed in November largely due to the economy.

Pompano Dive Center is owned in part by the same folks who own Jupiter Dive Center

JDC is managed and staffed by some of the finest professionals I have ever encountered in the dive business (any business, for that matter) so even though PDC is "new" I have no hesitation about recommending them - they will have a dive boat soon if they don't already.
