Intrested in buying transpac 2 or transplate? Currently diving single tanks but will be moving to doubles on occasion as well as singles.
What is better to own? which is easier to go from singles to doubles?

Backplate with TransPlate should make a better option if you are considering to go further in Tech diving.

There is another discussion on this board on similar topic:

Diverite: transpac or transplate? Trek or Venture?

Ciao,

I'll opt for a dive rite aluminuim plate...transplate harness and dual rec wing since it can be dive with both twins and singles..bulky for travelling though..

Not answering your question in the slightest, but just wanted to share with those who could appreciate - my new Transpac (and travel wing) arrived yesterday from Larry at Scuba Toys. Granted, this is the first BC I've owned, but this is the absolute coolest thing around. The quality, construction, and design is amazing. Compared to the rental BCs I've used, this is in a different league. In the water, or even gearing up on land, I'm sure I'll feel more comfortable, confident, and safe.
