The Sea-Elite brand and the Dive-Rite regs are manufactured in the same factory. The features, the warranty and support etc. are all something to be considered. These are well made regulators.

I was told that one of the parts in the Sea-Elite first stage is different than in the DR, so the DR service kits may not work with sea-elites, though perhaps you know better whether this is true or not. (Somebody representing or selling DR posted about it on the decostop). Also, is the Sea-Elite a DIN reg like the DR?

Also, by the looks of it there are a few other differences in the firs stage, perhaps only cosmetic (ie: red ring) but they could also represent differences on the inside.

Included is first and second stages, octo, gauges with compass, dr reg bag, hoses, keeper, hose protectors, assembly

Do the gauges include a computer?

Also, if you are getting a computer and compass, then think about whether you want wrist or console units.

The Sea Elite referenced above (x05) I think is the same as a certain Salvo first stage and a Dive Rite 2nd stage. I can "dig up" the exacts if you need them.

Note Sea Elite has changed their Tek reg this year to the X06, which they claimed was made as a copy of Apeks/Aqualung. The 2nd stage looks just like a Legend LX. The first stage is an Ocean Divers RG1009 from what I can tell.

Back to the Dive Rite regs, www.divesports.com has the Dive Rite reg you have listed above on "special" right now. You get a $100 gift card back with the purchase of one. (you can use it at time of purchase if you call them).

Sure looks like it:

yeah.... I'm tempted to buy one just to see how much it's alike a Apeks or Aqualung. IF it's the same, it's a steal-of-a-deal, even if it's a SEA Elite.

mike_s: Phill Ellis @ www.divesports.com always "tells it like it is" Asking Phil for a bit of advice is not a bad idea.
