Thank you kindly :) I think Im search impaired today. I cant find the transpac on there. All day I cant find a dang thing I have searched for online.

Ask for John (he should answer the phone anyway). He is a standup guy and I have purchased 99% of my equipment from him. Any problem i ever had he made it right real quick.

Biggest con i am reading with the TransPac is the fact that its soft back flotation. Its not to say its no good. I dove with 2 guys 2 weeks ago who were using doubles with a transpac. You lose some stability with the transpac because its soft back. Doubles are quite heavy and cumbersome. A properly adjusted backplate with harness will eliminate alot more slack and play than the soft back transpac would in my opinion. The transpac is more comfortable than a BP though.

Is this for singles or doubles? - if doubles I think most recommend a plate over the transpac (either transplate or standard plate w/harness) If you get the opportunity it would also be good to try both first to see which you'd like overall...

Im very excited I have been looking so long for the perfect bc for me. I emailed John asking a ton of questions lol. Hope he dosnt mind. Thank you for all your help. Going diving/camping this weekend and I think I will print out the pic to take with me!

definatly singles kidspot. Wish I could try them first but its not possible here. I guess thats why I have been looking for so long. Want to make sure I get what I really want this time. I bought my first jacket during certification and its awful. I wont jump into it (again) but this kit has so much im looking for.

I e-mailed northeastscubasupply a few days ago and never got an answer back. I would gladly pay more from a person who gives me a little customer service then get a cheap deal from a person who does not. Im still very interested in the transpac so any other opinons are greatly appreciated.

Give em a call... many businesses have problems responding to email for a variety of reasons.

The Transpac is great as an overall single tank back inflate recreational bc...I use the integrated weight pockets and a crotch strap...it stays glued to my back. The DiveRite Transpac is sort of a compromise bc...back inflate yet soft back for comfort. I would not recommend it with doubles unless you purchase the doubles kit...but then, why not just go and purchase the Transplate harness with backplate.

I am in the same position...on the verge of spending more money on a backplate harness system for more "technical" diving.

Just my 02.

I've gotten price quotes from them before, and got excellent customer service when I called; I tried emailing them once, but also got no response. Calling them is just easier.
