What is the extra LP hose for? I am assuming a rebreather?​

I am assuming I can remove the splitter and use this on an AL40 for a deco bottle for my AN/DP class but I am brand new at this so any explanation would help me out.​

Yep. Splitter can be removed and the regulator hose goes directly into the first stage.
