1) Is the 3000 that much better than a 2500?
2) I saw a lot of responses about Self Servicing the Dive Rite. Where would you get the training to feel comfortable enough to service this reg? I rebuilt a carburater once and was scared to death with the left over parts. The car still ran, but I wasn't 100 ft under water.

Dive Rite or Scubapro... that's not really a question... it's an accurate account of the top two regulator brands currently being manufactured. I dive both. I currently own:

Dive Rite RG3000 and Dive Rite 3500 (Hurricane)
Scubapro MK25 G250HP and MK16 S550

You can not go wrong with any of them
