Anyone have this? opinions/recommendations? I was originally set on a DSS BP/W, but I just saw this and it looks pretty good. I don't really plan on doing any tech diving, unless diving in Mass and NJ is considered tech

If diving in Mass and NJ is considered cold water, where you need a drysuit or a 7mm wetsuit, then you may want to stick with DSS with stainless steel backplate. Other than this, I think it is personal preference: rigid backplate vs solf plate, 1piece harness vs quick release/adjust harness, ....

My personal preference between than is DSS.

it's cold water diving, and for that you want a stainless steel plate to help offset the lead you would need otherwise. The hunterpac is a good bc, but it is designed for spearfishing, and unless you are regularly doing that, which isn't really a huge thing in New England, then you would be better off sticking to a SS BP/W setup. Call Tobin, he'll hook you up

Yeah, I've just moved to New England and found out there's not as much spearfishing here, but there's some good areas around like Rhode Island. I'll probably still stick with the SS BP/W as it's got the weight integrated that I won't have to carry on a belt.
