RickL and I did the usual Sunday early dives today at the cemetary. Water was a little choppy getting in. Vis hasnt improved at all from two weeks ago. I'd say it averaged 3-8' down to @35', then opened up to (I'll be generous) 10-15'. It was rather varied, though. Tough to lobster hunt and stay together in that kind of vis. If we both didnt have our lights we would have been apart in a matter of minutes on both dives. As usual I got no keepers, RickL got two! Not a heck of a lot out there - at least that we could see. I did see two decent sized sea ravens, one on each dive.
Dive 1 max 48' @44min. Dive 2 max 44' @52min. Water temps 40F.
Still had a great time getting in and still getting comfy with my new gear!:D

Too bad about the vis. I need to hit that sight one of these days, how's the parking for the non locals?

Did you get a can light?

Yeah, you should check it out one of these days. I know Sundays arent good for you. :(
I havent had a problem there, although I've only been going in the winter and we're always the only ones there. I guess it gets pretty crowded in the summer from what RickL tells me. It's the hike down from the parking to the water that's the killer. I know my legs will be sore now for a few days after today....

Yeah, I got a can light...but I'd say its more like a telephone pole than a canister! haha It didnt look that big in the pic when I ebayed it!! Well, aside from carrying this huge brick around on my side once in the water it is awesome! What a difference and best of all it sure is gonna be hard to lose it! (I tend to drop things and forget them if they arent attached);)
