We finally got to dive off of Larry's boat. As I posted earlier he has a 24 ft Albemarle that we are starting to dive off of. Well we wanted to hit a close spot for our first dive from it and chose the tower. Since it was a Friday there was only 4 other boats there. We anchored of from the tower and swam over to try some spearfishing. Visibility was about 6 ft. Water temp on the surface was 70 degress but the theromcline dropped it to the low 60's. I ended up a little"green" towards the end of the first dive and had to get in the boat and fight the nausea.

Second dive we left the tanks on the boat and free dove. Actually Larry did. I was still fighting the blaaahs. Well he started nailing the Spadefish. After a while I could not let him have all the fun, so I jumped in to join him. I got me a decent size spade and headed back. Larry stayed in, he was having way too much fun.:dork2:

WE ended up filling our boat quota and had a great time. Next trip we are heading to the Morgan, but we will be bring a better ladder.:no

Sorry, forgot to post a picture. Two or f the Spades from the Dive. Larry's was about 9 pds:rofl3:

Thanks for the trip report! It sounded like a blast, other than the sea sickness.

This Larry the "Dork"....It was more than a blast, it was a personal first. To put it into perspective....it was rather good to take my boat to where I wanted to go and take with me what I wanted and who I wanted. Not to be rushed and stay as long as I need to shoot my limit. We learned a lot and will improve on the process and the equipment.

I have to tell you ALL, there isn't a tougher diver in the area than Gary, he is a trooper, he dives better feeling like sheit than I do feeling pumped...............here's to you bro!

PS My wife just assisted with my spell check and grammar so I guess Dork and Dumb Azz is accurate for me.
