Went diving with Emerald Coast Scuba out of Destin. Great Crew! Made the dive more enjoyable having such good people to talk with.
First Dive the Janet an 85-foot tugboat sitting at 100 ft of water. Vis was about 40 feet. Lots of Bait fish some good size Amberjack and Angelfish above the wreck. I believe I saw a lionfish on the wreck and other assorted Tropical Fish. Wind was out of the North and seas were calm. (You could have water skied behind the boat between the first and second dive).
Second Dive Miss Louise Tugboat located about a mile off the beach in 60 feet of water. Vis about 20 feet. Tons and Tons of Baitfish. The baitfish were so thick you had to scatter them to see the tug. I didn’t see the Goliath Grouper that I’ve seen posted on You Tube only about a 28” Grouper hiding under the stringers. Some Spanish mackerel were hitting some baitfish above the tug and some Angelfish hitting on one of the many Jellyfish but nobody was stung. All around a great dive and a great day on the water.

Thanks for the trip report. I'll be diving from Destin in a couple of weeks and have been lurking the boards gleaning info from recent dives. :cool2:

Welcome to the board! I'm glad you had a great dive, I've dove with emerald coast and they have a great crew. Hopefully you got to meet Kent and Mel, great people. If you get a chance to dive St. Andrews jetty in panama city you will sometimes get lucky and see goliath grouper there.
