I was clearing out/searching my closet for my dive reel that I use(d) for a float ball setup and I cannot find it. I think I loaned it out, or left it on a buddies boat, or who knows....its gone.

I can't even recall the brand, I got it used from a friend years ago, etc etc., so long story short, I am in the market for a new reel that would be good for a float ball set up as I usually end up being the 'float ball mule' when I dive with friends.

Would love to say I want the cheapest, but I know that cheap + dive gear = failure after about a year, so any good recommendations in the $140.00 or less range, compact size, 250' line capacity and best website to buy from would be great!

thanks

I highly recommend the Manta Jr reel for this purpose. Mine has been used heavily for two years without incident.

If you want cheap AND dependable, you should look at spools. They cost a fraction of the money and are practically fail proof.
