Can anyone recomend a good dive operator in the Florida Keys to do some wreck dives with? I want to dive all wrecks and not reef dives with 1 wreck dive thrown in? In the past this is how the operators I have gone out with have done it. Thanks...

Hi Lock Down, we prefer to do double dips wherever possible. This allows suitably qualified divers to opt for one long deco dive whilst the recreational divers do two short dives with an hour surface interval. It works a treat.

Why move off to the reef if you have 100ft of viz, no current and calm seas;)

We do that when the surface sucks due to heavy rain or big seas, or customers request a reef for the 2nd dive:)

I second Silent World with Chris and Capt AJ. Dove some of the wrecks with them this year and can't say enough good things about them!

They can also arrange tech dives too. From diving with several of the other boat operators, I don't think there's a bad one in the bunch, but they'd freak when they saw that I was slinging a stage bottle. It would take a dive or two for them to get used to the idea.

Not used to diving without any redundancy, even in my single tank rig, I'd sling a stage bottle and just breath on that during the dive and use the backgas single as backup only.

I have done 2 trips with Silent World. I chose them the 1st time because my dive instructor here on Long Island recommended them. The next year I dove with them again because I enjoyed it so much.

A great outfit that is really enthusiastic about your diving experience and doing what you want to do. I will use them again for my next trip down to the keys. The owner Chris is a great guy, he goes above and beyond. And their Captains are excellent. Not big cattle boats either. You can't go wrong with them.

You can do the Tons of steel which is cool, or sometimes if you have a group you can call Capt. SLate and just charter the boat for you and your group for the day. Its worth the extra money to do what you want. We charted it just to go do a 3h long rebreather dive on the Spiegal grove a couple months ago ...check into him.

I had the opportunity to get a double wreck dive from Key West Divers. Most awesum dives I have made to date.

Amoray dive resort in the keys is pretty good they will go to the duane and speagle,
but the duane is a very demanding dive and should be done with very experienced divers

I did Wreckfest with Silent World and I can't say enough good things about them. I'll definitely dive with them again.

I did two on the Thunderbolt with Captain Hook's in Marathon...although that's the only deep wreck in that particular area...but if you're travelling I'm sure they would accomodate...
