I would give it 3 out of 5 as a ranking.
Simple tips on how to improve your diving, if your already are a seasoned diver and interact with other divers in a way that you should gain experience and tips from them then this is not the book for you. But if its intended for a fairly new diver, it might be a good book.
I dont regard Rossier to be an excellent writer, but OK. The book lacks relevant illustrations, but gathers useful information. Easy to read, but not the kind of book you find it hard to put down.
If you want a book to help improve you, maybe a book about accidents can help you to become conscious about potential risks in which case I would recommend "Dive Down" by Michael R. Ange (ISBN 0-07-144572-2).
Simple, interesting and relevant to most diver.
