Dive LA or Laguna tomorrow (Sat 11-18)?

Anyone up for a dive at, say, Old Marineland tomorrow (Saturday)? I've never been, but the reviews make it sound great.

Barring that, I'm looking for a buddy for Laguna. Perhaps N. Crescent Bay or Shaw's Cove. Let me know.

Also, I need a buddy for the Sandeater dive on Sunday 11-16 at Malaga Cove.

Anyone? I only have a few dives yet so far in SoCal, is why I don't have a regular buddy. I'm a casual UW photographer, and enthusiastic but average diver.

Hmm, 50 views and no replies. Oh well. Any tips on finding a buddy for next weekend? Do regular shore divers all already have regular buddies?

Going diving in Laguna tomorrow with South Coast Divers Club. We meet at Laguna Hills Mall (behind In & Out Burger in the mall parking lot) at 7:30 am and decide where to dive from there. Join us if you wish as there is usually 5-10 divers on the recent Sundays. I-5 El Toro road exit.

My buddy & I usaual go out every weekend, we just did Leo Carillo. I'll be gone for 2 weekends but after that I'll be back in the water. I'll post where & when we're going diving.

I've found lots of buddies using Scubaboard before, including Melvin, one of the best buddies you can get, but he's in Iraq.

That said, if you can't find a buddy here, and want to dive Marineland, your best bet is to post on www.divevets.com, that is a local board for the redondo/palos verdes area. The group is known for taking out new divers.

For laguna beach, Debbie's email list has a large number of divers that dive the OC on a regular basis, look at www.ocdiving.com for info on the email list

As we get closer to the holiday season some of the usual suspects that would normally go diving with you might get harder to find due to previous obligations.

Start another thread for next week and you'll probably find more people to dive with.

Also, I see that we are practically neighbors since you are in Pasadena and I'm in Altadena!

Hope to see you soon on a dive someplace.
