Dive knives on airplanes

With all the new restrictions does anybody know how you pack your dive knife when taking a flight? Do they allow you to pack it in the checked luggage? Thanks.

Checked bags, not carry on.

Yes you can pack your knife in *checked* luggage but it cannot be in a carry-on.

Unless going to greece where you cant carry them in any baggage at all...

I just came back from Belize Saturday and it's A-OK there too. Checked baggage only.

Just remember, they dont care what you tell them its for...its a knife.

And don't drop your tank weights into your carryon to avoid hitting the weight limit on your checked baggage unless you want the bag search...The xray guy couldn't determine what the weights were so I got all my junk emptied out on the table

I bought a machete in Manado, stuck it in my backback between my fins and sent it through Singapore in the cargo hold. Noone raised an eyebrow and that was right after eleventh.

The thing was getting it through customs, but I played the odds and won.

No of course it just sits on a shelf, with no purpose at all.

Someone who needs tanks weights to acheive proper trim and won't count on the destination to have tank weights???

Either that or it was an accident....
