Hi all buddies out there,

I am planning a trip to this island for some good diving soon.

Need to know the following:-

1) The dive operator there

2) The weather conditions

3) What is expected of the dive? Will 3mm wetsuit be adequate?

Am expecting some special rates from the airline pretty soon. But after searching, I found that there is quite some fishery activities there and the population of the perlargics have dropped tremendously.

I'd love to see good actions; perlargics,currents..etc diving of another dimensions

I am taking a group this October and cannot wait! (BTW - still have a couple of spaces left ;))

Talk to Karen and Dieter at Cocos Dive - great people:

Tell 'em alcina sent ya ;)

Dude, my brain...sorry, we are going to Cocos not Christmas! LOL

I was there in October....Diving is very good....ONLY one dive operator to use!...Kim Anderson period!....The Hotel....if you can call it that...Captain Cooks...is a bit rough...stay in one of the Cabanas. All booking have to be done thru Frontiers Travel...If you need Kim's e-mail address...let me know. He is a great guy and will answer all your questions.

Read my report and ask away...One of the few places I will go back to.....Ah.... I am talking about Christmas Island (Kirimati)....south of Hawaii.

Funny, I was just thinking about this place yesterday and posting here, however I thought it would be too exotic and off the map for SB.

Sailors I've heard from say good things about it - something like it has a huge coral reef, however they weren't specific about what they saw diving there.
