Will be our first time going to Tahiti and planning to go there in late Sep/Oct next year in 2026. (we will be flying from Australia)
I’ve been going through a number of posts here from some of the very knowledgeable and generous contributors — thank you! It’s been incredibly helpful, and I feel like I now have a pretty good idea of what we want to do, but I’d really appreciate a bit more feedback especially on dive/snrk tour operator from those who’ve been. ( dive experiencewise - we are both instructors used to work in the industry)
Right now, we’re thinking the the Bora Tuamotu Light Pass visiting the following islands-

Right now, we’re thinking the the Bora Tuamotu Light Pass visiting the following islands-
- 4days 3 nights - Moorea (mainly swimming with whales snorkelling/no diving - very tempting to go to Rurutu after seeing some comments... but think it will be more doable for us visiting Moorea and options re accommodations - possibly 1 x snrk session per day?)
- 5days 4 nights - Rangiroa (mainly focus on diving with dolphins - planning 3 dives a day if we can)
- 6days 5 nights - Fakarava (shark wall etc — likely staying on the north end, but hoping to do a day trip to the south.. not sure what is the best as everyone pretty much recommended and had one of the best diving experience on this island... would love to hear more about our options - planning between 3-2 dives a day if we can)
We flexible on extending few more days between islands (Flying after diving consideration etc...) , would love any feedback on how the time is divided wondering if we should add more time to?
