I am looking for a computer that is simple.
I do not handle complicated things well.
I would also like a reasonal price.
Can anyone give me some good suggestions??

Any Pelagic. (Aeris, Oceanic, Genesis... )

I bought a Suunto Vyper wrist for my first computer, even before I bought my BC/Reg. About a month later, my LDS offered me a package deal on a complete setup, which included a computer; an Aeris Atmos 1, which was mounted in the console.

Another month later I did 10 dives in Hawaii with my new gear. I only used the Vyper for information and was very happy. After I got home, I decided to compare the info stored in my Vyper with that of the Atmos 1. They were nearly identical, with one exception.

I did 10 dives in Hawaii, but the Aeris only stores info for 9 dives. My first dive was dropped from the log when the 10th dive occurred. It maintained info for my last 9 dives, while the Vyper kept it all.

I was surprisingly pleased with how simple the Aeris was to use. It was easier to retrieve info from it than it was with my Vyper. If you're looking for simplicity, this is it. Leisure Pro sells them for about $175.00.

If you're diving air only, there is a large number of Pelagic computers that require you to push the single button before entering the water. Seems about as simple as it can get.

Nitrox increases the complexity by 100% since it adds another button.

Personally, I wouldn't ever buy an air computer assuming that you'll never dive nitrox (well, I wouldn't buy one again). Get a Veo200. It's pretty simple to operate enough to dive air with. If you need to review the logs, change mix, etc, you might want to take a trip through the manual. Even then, it's not too hard to figure out - much easier than the VCR.

Mares M1, activates when submerged 4 feet under, or can be manually activated by pressing any of the two buttons. Uses AAA batteries, has a large easy to read display, and will do nitrox if you decide to go that route in the future.

Oh, and its price is very good.

I like my M1, and can recommend it without reservation.

I'll second the Pelagic. They are much easier to use than the Mares, Uwatec, or Suunto. If getting one locally - you can get any of them... if buying on line - Don't get Oceanic - as they don't allow on line sales - so it voids your warranty... There is a promotion coming where we can sell the Atmos 2 Nitrox Wrist with full warranty from the manufacturer for $269... can't beat that!

Sponger:
It would cost $2300, would only work in 25% of the ocean, and do exactly the same things as the $400 computer...
You obviously haven't used/purchased a Mac lately...

Buying an Oceanic on-line isn't too bad.
My next-to-bestest dive buddy bought an Oceanic on-line. For some reason, I think he pushed the buttons too many times playing with it, it lost it's calibration.

Purchasing the computer on-line, he saved $350.

Sent it back to Oceanic and they repaired it for him for $100. When he got it back it was 1 pressure group off, he returned it, they fixed it n/c and gave him a new warranty.

At the point he required service, the computer was almost 4 years old and out of the original warranty period.
