I have a year old Aqualung i330 that is a great beginner computer if you're interested. It's got EAN capability, planning, log, bluetooth. Nothing wrong with it, I just replaced it with Garmin.

I used to have an Aeris atmos 2 wrist computer and I liked it. They were pretty popular some years back, I bet you could find one for $100 on eBay.
Puck Ultra has the "ERASE DESAT" button for those who like to keep diving after skipping a mandatory decompression stop.
Buy something you can actually use and see, too many have miniscule buttons or screens that you can’t actually read. You won’t save money buying something that isn’t usable for you. I went through a couple before I finally bought a Shearwater, because it is easy to read and had good lighting. Probably not the reasons many will give but having a puck you can’t see doesn’t make you safe

To the OP, get the Vyper. It has a nitrox setting, has a gauge mode and the battery is easy to replace. I use a Vyper (I've had it since 2004). It's a decent all round dive computer - if you dive conservatively or put it in gauge mode it should be more than adequate for less demanding dives.
