Does anyone know if Scubapro XL Jet Fins (the originals) would fit into the fin caddy? Also, I noticed in the video the guy put his bag in the overhead compartment sideways. If you do not use that turtle pack, would it fit in the overhead straight in? Thanks!

I looked at one at DEMA and it is long enough to accommodate XL and XXL Jet Fins. And the Navy used a lot of them and provided input on the new version - and they buy a LOT of Jet Fins.

One of my impessions about using it for carry-on is that it is too long to meet most carry on requirements in current full size airliners even without the turtle pack. And if you are on a commuter or an MD-80 or similar with the slightly short over head bins on the 2seat side of the cabin then forget it.

Putting it in sideways will work, at least until airlines get picky about carry on dimensions. In that case, you may end up haivng to check it at the gate - not bad if you also get it back at the gate at the destination, but if you get it back at the luggage carosel it pretty much screams "steal me".

Do they even make the jet fins anymore? I couldn't find them but looked like ims made a copy of it. Hmmm I really want to get the dive caddy but don't wanna be "that guy" who takes up most of the overhead bin. I really wish there was a way to fit it in straight. All I wanna use it for is my gear. I don't need to use it to pack clothes or anything cause im most likely going to check that stuff, I just have trust issues and don't want any of my gear out of sight. Lol

I know where you can get two systems for a great price. Find my add here in this forum.

The XL jet fins do fit, with plenty room to spare! There are 6 of us who travel together all using XL jet fins, and I am yet to find an overhead that any of our Dive Caddies wouldnt fit wing to wing! These things are great and for peace of mind well worth the 299 price tag.

And Tony, yes they still make Jetfins, but they are hard to get ahold to brand new because of the high demand. I have tried everything from splits to the jet fin knock offs and none compare to the real deal! So keep that in mind. You can find sone good deals on used ones. I actually prefer the regulars over the XL's which are easier to find.
