Dive Bases Sodwana Bay (South Africa) - Recommendations?

Can anybody recommend one or more
dive bases at Sodwana? I will be there
next week, and some usenet posts
(old, 1997) suggest there were
then some real cowboy outfits around.

i dove with the sodwana bay lodge operation in march. i can definitely recommend them and you do not have to stay there to use them.

Sodwana Bay Lodge or you can use Sandton Scuba - they are based in Johannesburg but have an operation at Sodwana.

While you are here you should really try to get to Umkomaas and dive Aliwal Shoal. It is time for the annual sardine run and Aliwal has lots of dolphins and Ragged Tooth Sharks this time of the year.
The odd Great White and Tiger Shark has been spotted on Aliwal Shoal during the last few weeks.
