Anyone interested in diving Aurora before it's too cold (hard :11:) one last time this year? :D

I'd like to get a couple more dives in, if anyone is interested. Saturday would be best for me, but I can probably do either day.

My understanding is that they close the lake for diving Oct 1. Is that not correct?

Dan, I just called and the recording says that scuba is open until Oct 31.

It shouldn't be any colder than Jefferson Lake.

Then count me in for Saturday. The weather is supposed to be better Saturday then Sunday. 9:00 A.M. Work for you?

Dan, that sounds great. I delayed in answering because all my family in Denver is leaving town, and I was checking to see when, and if I could leave my dog at my parents while diving. All is cool, so I'll meet you there.

Anyone else interested in one last "local" dive of the year?:eyebrow:

Dan and I are diving Aurora Res tomorrow (Saturday) at 9:00 AM. Anyone else who would like to join us is more than welcome :D.

I have never seen such large waves at Aurora. Our first dive was fine. There was very little wind and the sun was warming things up. I saw more and larger fish then I have ever seen. I was surprised to find a class there before we got there and another in time for our second dive. The viz was better then during the heat of the summer, at least 15ft. The water was warmer then I expected. My dive computer said 58 but the other dive group said 54. Either way, it was warmer then I had expected.

It was the second dive that got interesting. Wading out into the water was like a shore dive at the beach on a calm day. At Aurora, high winds and big waves was weird. Under water all was calm. It was like too different worlds, one was very warm and getting ready for a snow storm that night. The other was oblivious to everything above.

Then your eyes must have been shut during that entire Shark Dive, and all the rest of the dives you've done tropical! :D Glad you had a good time! Too bad they shut the place down in winter, sounds like diving into November would work out nicely.

OK, you got me. Larger then I have seen at Aurora. :bfish:
