The annual Dive Animals picnic is on Sunday 21st May at La Jolla shores - everyone welcome. First boat trip 7am, BBQ, raffle and lots of fun.

Boat trips and raffle open to DASC members only. If you are not currently a member and want to participate in either of these activities join the club on the day.

We have lined up many great raffles prizes including:

Last year, this event happened on the same day as the Wrinkles event and I've got to say... these people really know how to throw a Dive and BBQ!

I would encourage anyone in the area to check this out.

Can you tell us anything more about this event... I see the mention of a boat trip but I'm assuming people shore dive as well or am I the only one who puts up with the sand?

There will be shore diving as well Ted. Sean and I will be headed out to take pictures of the wolf eel on the North Wall after our early 7am boat dive to Scripps. Are you thinking of coming down?

In addition to the boat diving and tons of food, there will of course be loads of diving chat, the opportunity to find out more about the club and its members, shore diving and, of course, the raffle and silent auction.

The boat trips (due to insurance reasons) and entry to the raffle (caus' the prizes are so great) are limited to members only, so if you're not a member here are two great reasons to sign-up upon arrival.

The Dive Animals SCUBA Club (aka DASC) is one of the largest dive clubs in San Diego (with 180 members at last count!). We have two dive boats, a Panga and an Zodiac inflatable that our members take out to the local wrecks and kelp beds every weekend.

We also arrange and sponsor regular dive trips in Mexico, Santa Catalina, San Clemente, and around the world. Our club also has a very active social calendar with monthly happy hours, picnics, Christmas parties, pirate parties, and much, much more.

The fun starts from around 7am and will probably go on most of the day
