Sometimes we tend to bash cruise ships a bit, but I wanted to step up and celebrate a bit when cruise companies do right.
The Central Caribbean Marine Institute in Little Cayman has received a US $23,400 grant from the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund (DWCF). The grant is in support of staghorn coral research.
Of course cruising is just a small part of the overall Disney empire. Glad to see they are stepping up to help preserve the marine environment. I wish the other cruise companies would follow that lead.
