DISCOVER REBREATHER DIVE!!!
For ALL of you Interested in trying a rebreather, here’s your chance!
Want to try cutting-edge dive equipment and learn about rebreather technology? The Discover Rebreather program is your opportunity to try a technical Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) in controlled conditions.
The program is open to certified divers at least 18 years of age who have logged at least 15 dives.
During the program, you'll learn:
The differences between rebreathers and open circuit scuba
About the two basic rebreather types
How rebreathers function
You'll also get in the water for a rebreather dive. Your Rebreather Instructor will show you new hand signals specific to rebreather diving and you'll learn what the rebreather is telling you through the handset, heads up display (HUD) and audible alarms. You'll also discover the differences in buoyancy control while descending, ascending and hovering in a rebreather, adjust the mouthpiece and bail out to open circuit. You'll do all of this at the Casino Point or from our dive boat the King Neptune.
Q: How long is the experience?
A: The total experience with class and water time is approximately 3 hours.
Q: How many students are in the class?
A: 1 to 4 students in class and your water experience will be private.
Q: Does Scuba Luv supply all the equipment?
A: We supply the rebreather unit. You need to have ALL your personal gear except for tanks and weights. This way you can dive Catalina after the course. (With our tanks and weights at no charge)!
Q: Can we do the rebreather course on the King Neptune?
A: Yes! Our customers found this is the best way to dive the rebreather units. Plus, you can dive on scuba when not on the rebreather.
Q: When are you offering the Discover Rebreather program?
A: The first and second weekend of the month.
Q: How much for the experience?
A: The price for the Discover Rebreather program from the Casino Point is $225.00; this also includes free tank and weight rentals if you would like to dive after the program.
From our 65 foot dive boat, the King Neptune, there is additional $125.00 cost. This includes a Continental breakfast, lunch, tanks, weights and the opportunity to dive afterwards.
