Barf bag? The trip isn't that bad. We slept for most of it. Or maybe we just have a higher tolerance to rough boat rides being from Alaska. But the girl kept asking us if we were OK on the ride out to Saba. She seemed so "caring". Now I think it's because you guys were so abused that they were over concerned by the time we arrived that night :D

There is no beer on the Saba to St. Marten leg. Good grief! It was 8 am...

But it had to be 5 o'clock somewhere! :D As far as the barf bags go, I didn't notice anybody using them. Good thing though, as soon as one starts, there goes the domino effect. I did think the distribution was just part of their SOP.

We had no problems with the Dawn II. I was aware of the dates for dry dock since that was on their website for over a month.

Yes, but they scheduled it after the folks from our group were already booked on their boat for those dates.

That's the bad customer service part. They should have contacted you and tried to assist in making alternate plans since it was their fault.

They should not have scheduled dry dock for a time when they already had bookings.

Makes me wonder if they had a problem with the boat and are just calling it regular maintanence. The engines were sounding funny on our trip out to Saba and the captain actually went down to check on them during the trip.

It's definitely a small family operation without frills. At least it all worked out for you in the end--pain in the rear end though.
