Do anyone here know why or what cause the dark brown beach water at Huntington beach right where Golden West meet Pacific Coast HWY at the Dog Beach? Just very curious, I was out there for the first time yesterday.

Also do people scuba dive from the beach anywhere in Huntington Beach? if so where?

Same thoughts I had at first. The scary thing about it also, there was a large dead seal which I watched float to shore. I kept wondering what that mass was floating about 200 yards out, and eventually it floated in to the sand and "dang" it was a dead seal :(

I wonder if that water or the oil rigs there had anything to do with it??

Red tide still active?

I was at the peir in HB today to witness a wonderful red tide, it seems to be back as usual for the spring. That would also explain the seals...
