Dirty Water at Huntington Beach?

Do anyone here know why or what cause the dark brown beach water at Huntington beach right where Golden West meet Pacific Coast HWY at the Dog Beach? Just very curious, I was out there for the first time yesterday.

Also do people scuba dive from the beach anywhere in Huntington Beach? if so where?

Same thoughts I had at first. The scary thing about it also, there was a large dead seal which I watched float to shore. I kept wondering what that mass was floating about 200 yards out, and eventually it floated in to the sand and "dang" it was a dead seal

I wonder if that water or the oil rigs there had anything to do with it??

I was at the peir in HB today to witness a wonderful red tide, it seems to be back as usual for the spring. That would also explain the seals...
