Where is the first placed to get off the turnpike and onto I95 south when taking the turnpike from Orlando. We are headed down tonight and shoud hit WP, Miami area after midnight so I hope traffic on 95 will not be an issue. Plan to take 95 till it quits and get back on the TP to Homestead. The exits are not marked very well to get off the turnpike so what turnpike exit number gets you over to 95 at first opportunity. We are diving tomorrow afternoon with CCC.

Have not been wet since Thanksgiving. This is a tuneup for Cozumel trip next month.

Save yourself the trouble and stay on the Turnpike even though it will cost a little extra coin. Traffic is ALWAYS an issue on I-95 south of 595.

First - before you leave... Check to see if they're going tomorrow.

Tomorrow's Forecast for Key Largo:
Mainly east winds near 20 knots and gusty. Seas beyond the reef subsiding to 5 to 8 feet. Seas higher in the Gulf Stream. Seas inside the reef 2 to 3 feet. Nearshore waters rough. Isolated showers.

Notice it says "subsiding to 5 to 8 feet" :11:

Then - Like the gooch said - just stay on the turnpike. It might cost you a few extra $$ but it's more direct. They are doing lots of road work on 95 and you can get stuck in traffic; even at midnight.

Good luck, I went out with CCC to the Grove and seas were 4-5. Even with Triptone I was feeling like a bucket full of @$$ after the first dip and had to sit out the second.

Do not even think about taking I-95 to the Keys and threading your way down through South Miami and north Naranja. There are much gentler ways to kill yourself - check out the Hemlock Society.
Otherwise, stay on the Turnpike.

Agree w/ all saying to stay on the turnpike until it ends at FL City - but a direct answer to your question is at Ft Pierce and its well marked

If you want to go a little further south, Indiantown Rd in Jupiter is also close to I 95 - but you should stay on the turnpike - I 95 ends in Miami - and US1/South Dixie Hwy is 25 miles to Fl City w/ lots of lights, etc.

The wind is really blowing and has been all week - forecast is not good for diving this weekend - good luck

Dude, take the Turnpike, I spent every weekend commuting to the Keys for a couple of years and even though I live near I-95, I spent the coin to take the Turnpike. Be cheap about where you eat, and be safe and smart about where you drive. Your @$$ depends on it.
