DIR Skills tape idea
Just was thinking about a DIR skills tape after reading the UK write up about the class. What do people think about it? How about a tape that shows you the kicks on dry land and in the water, so you can see how the it looks before you take class, visualize it, and practice before hand. I know there are skill on the Net, but something you could review in private. Also include Buoyancy/Trim.

Ideas? Thoughts? Anyone have one and want to share?

Eric... I have one but it's not GUE... it's SL/DIR

:)

Shows dry land drills only...

I think GUE has something coming out in the next month or so

Correct, but it looks like that is going to be more about the gear and "why" of DIR not necessarily the in-water skills. I think Eric is looking for the later.

Yup, in-water and some of the kicks of dry land. A lot of this we did during the DIR-F class. I thought it would be good to review and practice during the winter and for visualization during the dive.

You might want to try and get a copy of your DIRF class video. That at least will give you some good reference on the water work portion. I am not sure about the dry work, but not a bad idea.

Have one. Was looking for something that is almost like a study aid. Andrew emailed me a reply to this question and he said they are making a Fundy tape for students to view prior to teh class, so they can get an idea of what the class is and what skills will be covered.
Eric

It will be interesting to see what they do. If they want good divers with some idea of what to expect at the DIR-F class, then the tape should cover all the skills that are in the class. Lets see.
