DIR hose routing w/Atomic 1st stage

Hi folks,

I'm in the process of switching over to a DIR hose setup. I'm not fully DIR, but I'm going with a 24" HP hose for the SPG (clipped off on left hip D-ring), 22" LP for octo on necklace, 5-foot LP for primary reg (no overhead environments). (I'm also moving my compass and computer to my wrists.)

I have Atomic regs, and here is a pic. of the first stage (yoke valve): http://atomicaquatics.com/first.html . I also have a DSS singles rig setup w/a Torus 26 lb. wing and hog harness.

I am taking a trip to Puerto Rico next week, and I want to use the new setup, but I don't have my own tanks to test different configurations on. I'll probably go to my LDS this week to check it out on one of theirs, but in the meantime, if anyone has any pics. or recommendations of similar setups, I'd love to get some input.

Specifically, which ports do you connect the various hoses to? What orientation do you use for the first stage reg?

These are photos of single-tank DIR-style hose routing on a ScubaPro MK25 first stage, which (I believe) is very similar to the Atomic first stage. Taken from here:

Thanks, SB! That's just what I was looking for. I've routed them the same way, and it seems like it should work. I'll take it by my LDS to test it out on a tank to make sure.

The one odd thing in those pics. is the recommendation for a 22-24" inflator hose. Mine is just 15" and it seems just right. I have a DSS wing, which has a pretty short corrugated hose (though I had to get an even shorter inflator hose for this setup), but 22-24" still seems awfully long.

Use an inflator hose that is long enough for your corrugated hose -- the DSS wings tend to have comparatively short corrugated hoses. A few of my friends have DSS LCD30 wings and 15" inflator hoses are perfect for their rigs.
