Gid kept saying that this class had better than average performers as compared to most classes, but I attribute that to the fact that all 4 of us have had practice sessions with GUE divers prior to the course in one form or another. My wife and I practiced twice a week for about a month and a half. and half that time was spent with a GUE Diving friend helping us along. The other 2 dove regularly with Livingseas, which is Gid's business here. So I guess the prep helped. Also, I believe that it being a REC class, made it a whole lot less complicated and easier to pass.

I'm gonna take a wait and see with regards to whether we'll continue with GUE education. The reason being, the next step is either Rec Triox or Tech 1, and as a husband and wife dive team, we're not too sure if it's the path we are gonna go into until we're really ready. Sure! That said, we've always held the wish to dive the HMS Repulse, but we're gonna take it one step at a time.

ok... I've never done a report in a looooong time, so please forgive any and all glaring ommissions or/and mistakes.

Ok thanks for reading! Also, Thanks to Gerauld, Leon and Irene for helping out in different measures during the course.

Nice report. Gideon is an awesome instructor.

And dont worry on the "lots of things to work on" part. No matter how well you do, Gideon will always be pushing you to the next level and will have a big laundry list of stuff for you to work on.

I can still hear in my dreams/nightmares "Guys, we need to talk ..." which always meant a bit session discussing the latest atrocities we had committed.

AHA as in "Oh Now I get it" or "That's why...." or a "Light bulb" going off above your head kinda moment Is what I think Tonka meant

The "AHA" moment for me was really getting a solid grasp on tank factors, min gas and getting the confidence to really throw the computer away and feel safe underwater.

Then you (I) get a similar "AHA" moment in tech1 when you get "the next step" on diving without a computer, but also the "AHA" of having a team that really works well together and realizing that you can handle failures in a calm way (well, most of the time :)
