This is an invite to the local DIR community to come out to Catalina for a day of recreational diving in the Avalon Underwater Park on *June 27th*. Nothing more than a chance for some like-minded divers to get together for some fun dives. This is a DIR "neutral" event, open to those who follow DIR practices, regardless of agency (IANTD, GUE, UTD, NAUI, etc). There's no teaching going on (though all local GUE and UTD instructors have been personally invited), just divers diving. If people are interested, we could go for a group dinner in the early evening. If you don't have a buddy, post here and find one (no one but you is organizing dive teams). Many of us plan to be there from morning to night. Hope to see you there.

If you're planning to come, just wanted to urge you to book your spot on the Catalina Express ASAP.

Jen and I are heading there at 7:00 am out of San Pedro, returning on the 6:45 pm ferry.

The earliest departure from Long Beach is now 10:00 am (and you'd have to return at either 3:45 pm or 9:45 pm).

Plan is a bunch of easy, relaxing recreational dives, then grabbing dinner around 5 pm.

Hope to see you there!

[If you have any questions, post here or send me a PM.]

Looks like most people are heading there on the 7 am ferry from San Pedro, and either returning at 6:45 pm or 9:15 pm. Ferry spots still available!
