Over the last several days the snow has been falling - actually dumping - around here. With el Nina a foot everyone is predicting a great snow year. Hopefully this is true because last year really sucked. As I was buying my ski pass today and notice a photo on the web site of my local ski area.

For all of the DIRers out there - don't fret - There is a proper use for your snorkel.

I thought it was supposed to be tied with cave line to a bolt snap and in your right bellows pocket. :11:
edit: Please note that was a joke and is supposed to be tongue in cheek. We can laugh at ourselves, right? :D

I actually do that. I have a Aqualung Snap rolled up and clipped in my right pocket...................

I've been in some "chokin' on it powder" and used my snorkel the same way.

That picture was from a day a few years ago when we got about 6 feet of very light snow in about 2 days. It was pretty incredible. I unfortunalty lost a very good friend in that storm - but he died doing what he loved most.

I terribly sorry to hear that. We were skiing that way up on Sunspot at Alta after a week long storm that dropped boucoup feet of powder while the Germania lift was broken down.

I had the best day of my life at Alta. Snowed all day and avalanche conditions closed the road and trapped those of us who didn't make it out on the bus in the lodge. They opened the next day with about 50 of us who slept in the lodge and the hotel guests. Needless to say I pretty much had the mountain to myself. Somehow the timing was perfect because I seemed to be right behind the patrol each time they opened a new area. There was about 3 fresh feet on top of I don't know how much. I don't think I touched a bottom all day.

Utah has the best skiing in the US for sure. I wish it wasn't such a weird state.

Maximum interlodge?

I don't know what that means. I haven't lived there for over 10 years - is it a new lodge?
:rofl3: - Just reread, laughing at the pun not at you Coldsmoke.
