I have an Inon UCL-165M67 that I have been using with a 60mm macro lens in a PPO-EP01 (stock port from PT-EP13 housing). Although I'm still barely competent with the narrow depth of field and narrow field of view, I'm already thinking about something with more magnification. The Inon claims to be +6, and I was wondering about stepping up to +10 or more. I understand the Nauticam CMC-1 is well regarded. It's also a bit pricey. Is there something I should consider to learn with, or should I just wait for a deal on a CMC-1?

EDIT: or maybe a CMC-2. But the retail price is about the same.

I have used the Zuiko 60mm with CMC-1 for years (I cannot comment on other, maybe cheaper lenses). The Zuiko 60mm by itself offers 1:1 magnification, what means that a subject with 17mm in length will fill the frame. This is already a lot and sufficient for most macro photos. I was using the CMC-1 seldom and only for special puposes, e.g. eggs from Clownfish ot Nudibranch eggs.
The CMC-2 has less magnification compared to the CMC-1. I do not think it will be useful together with the Zuiko 60mm...
