Good evening-
I was curious if someone a bit more up on their knowledge than I could tell me if there is any significant difference between the DIN to yoke adapters that different manufacturers make. I've been diving my USDs and Poseidons w/ DIN for years with no problem, but now that my wife dives too, we go to some destinations where DIN is harder to find. I have no intention of giving up my DIN 1sts, and would like not to own more regulators. I know that older Sherwood DIN 1sts were only 230bar, and the valve seat/o-ring is different from my 300bar USDs. Any one have any recommendation for an adapter to use on modern USD, Sherwood, and Poseidon DIN 1st stages? Cheers----Chris

The DiveRite version is nice, hefty and has a black powdercoat finish.

Used yoke connectors also show up on Ebay and that would allow you to switch connectors for trips and save on some weight. Also some models such as Sherwoods become loooong when you add the yoke adapter to a DIN base model..

I have some poseidon, salvo, diverite, abyss, and a couple of other brands of din to yoke adapter. The poseidon is nice as it has a metal nut to tighten with but it is about twice the price of the other ones. I really liked the abyss ones but they are gone..the handle on it was plastic thought and didn't hold up well. I probably sell and equal amount of salvo and dive rite now. They are both nice and affordable.

Thread size is unversal fit to the tank valve. Pick up anything less bulky...

Otherwise, there is no difference. The adaptor is an adaptor as long as it won't hit your back head.

Just my 2 psi.

Just picked up 2 of the Poseidons look great and reilitivly compact, let you know how they work out
