I have a digital Rebel XT and am thinking about taking some underwater pictures, now instead of purchasing a whole new underwater camera outfit can anyone recommend a good housing for my camera? Also what lens would you use?

Thanks,

Dave

I use an Ikelite housing with my XT, with dual DS-125 strobes. Just got back from a month in Micronesia and this set up worked extremely well. I use a 100mm for macro, a 10 - 22mm for WA and the kit lens for medium shots. I ordered another stabilized lens for sharks though.

Take a look at the Mask on Forehead thread, starting on post #17830. I've posted a few pics there. My profile pic was also taken with this set up.

Diver Dennis:
I ordered another stabilized lens for sharks though.

What focal length, and what shutter speeds are you attempting to use with sharks?

I'd be interested in seeing your results from the trip!

You're welcome Warnberg. Hi Ron. I ordered a 17 to 85mm. I used a 10 -22mm for sharks in Palau and didn't get the results I wanted. I'll post a couple of pics.
