I have owned a Canon A20 for about a year now and have been very happy with the land pictures it takes. So, I decided to order the housing for it. Does anyone have experience with this setup, and if so please give details. Are there any accessories that I need to also consider purchasing?

Also, can anyone recomend some good software for touching up my photos. I'm sure Photoshop would be great, but I was hoping for something a little more economical.

Can't help you with the Canon but for software for photo manipulations you might try Adobe Photo Deluxe. It's sort of Adobe's plain vanilla Photo Shop but lots easier to use.

I use Photoshop all day long at work (sort of what I do for a living) and it is one amazing piece of software. It might be just a little over kill for what you are wanting to do. Adobe photo deluxe is a little on the wimpy side IMHO but it comes with many scanners. If you want something that is pretty useful with out the price tag of Photoshop look into Photoshop LE. It was a prodoct put out by Adobe for the home user who wanted some of the usefull features of Photoshop with out the price.

I got Photoshop LE with my Olympus camera and it does have some cool stuff in it. In Photo Deluxe, I use the clone tool the most to clear up backscatter. I haven't been able to figure out the clone tool in PS LE and since it's a hassle to do one thing in one program and other things with another, I've just stuck with Photo Deluxe.

Diver Gadget....can you suggest a book that will explain LE? The help files aren't much help!

I could send you a PDF of the instructions for Photoshop 7. I can't remember if the older versions cam with instructions in PDF form. If you want to use the clone tool, select the tool then bring the mouse over the image. Now press and hold the option key (I am a mac guy and not sure how close it works on the pc) click the mouse button. This will be the area you clone from. Now the next time you click the mouse button on the image it will clone, so move the mouse over to the area you want to clone and click. Now depending on how you are set up in your prefs will be how it works. I usually have it set up so that the clone area it takes from and the area it clones two work in tandem and I end up often moving the clones point. I don't know if I was clear on cloning but like I said I could e-mail a PDF that might make it more clear. No instructions came with the software??

I think it works a bit differently on a pc. Yes, it came with instructions but they aren't very clear for a beginner. It's been a while since I tried it and what you described is sort of how it works in Photo Deluxe without the option key (?).

I'd appreciate the PDF file. You can e-mail it to me at this address ...Thanks!
