Is there an exploded view of a Piston style regulator and a Diaphragm regulator that someone could post so I can physically see the difference between the two separate styles. The benefits of both styles have been explained to me before however, it would really help to see a picture so I can actually see and know the physical differences between the two. It would sure clear some grey areas regarding the "open" and "closed" designs as they've been explained to me as well as some others.

Thanks

Search the internet. There are loads of good information with diagrams.

Yeah I'm going to start replying to threads with "Google >insert topic here<" from now on, that will save me a lot of time
That happens to be a rather good write up.

If you're really keen to know the details I highly recommend this book:

Regulator Savvy (Spiral Bound)

Good investment, even though it's much more information than you're looking for at the moment

Mares has some great animated videos showing cutaways of their first stages. You can get to them via links from the scubaboard Mares forum:

It is nice to see the animations after looking at static diagrams; at least for me, it helps to "see" the reg in action.

Best wishes.
