Difference between diving Sudan vs. South Egypt

I've heard that the diving in Sudan is quite different from Egypt. This year we've booked a liveaboard for Northern Sudan and next year to the South of Sudan. Having dived Egypt's Deep South, I was wandering what are the main differences and what to expect?
