I did a charter dive with Fran Marcoux and his Day Breaker today. We went to Bass Rocks and Salvages. Both spots were very good and Bass Rocks had a visibility of about 60 feet or more. The temp at 20-30 feet was about 52 degrees. Saw many lobstas, a couple schools of what looked like polic. the land scaping was unbelievable.

How did you hear about this outfit? The only ones I know are CAD and the boat you can see from theirs on the dock. What did he charge? How many people?

thanks,

nac mac feegle.

Well ever since I became certified and joined my local dive shops' dive club. They use his charter when ever they go out on a charter. He is in the Glouster Marina at the booth almost all the way to the right where they stack the smaller boats for the winter.

What I like about his opertion is that even on deeper dives if you're not advanced he'll tell you where the depth levels off and you can go to that depth or further. After all how deep you go is ultimately up to individual divers anyways. Unlike other dive ops that restrict you from diving if its an advance type dive.

He charges about 70 bucks I usually pay him about 80. His son is his first mate and has just got his captains certification. They really take care of the passangers.

STOGEY - glad to hear you got out with Fran. There were keepers around? Any come home with you? ;)

There was one male seal haging around the Salvages when I was there. Was he still there?

Unfortunately, finances are such lately that I don't know if we'll get out with Fran again this summer. Wanted to do the Isle of Shoals with him, but it's just too much money for us (three of the six passengers) right now. :(

Glad to hear you had a couple of good dives! :fish:

Who knows I've probably gone on a dive with you off of frans boat and I didn't even know it. Anyways yes that big male was there, and no I didn't take any home with me. There are people that come from all over the place to dive with him, and some dive with him every week.
