It seems I might need to spend a couple of days working in Des Moines, IA. So I was hoping to schedule work for Mon-Tue so I could potentially fly in Saturday and do some diving Sunday.

I am not familiar with the area and wonder if there is anything interesting to dive in the area this time of the year (in October).

The Atlantic Quarry in Atlantic, IA is about 80 miles from Des Moines. It's one of our favorite spots to dive locally. Watch the forum - I'll be posting pictures from our dive there on Sunday, September 20 shortly. Visibility was still pretty good but there were places that were milky and vis was low.
